How Solar Water Heating Works
Solar water heating is a very efficient process that captures the heat directly from the sun. Collectors installed on your roof use a dark surface to trap the sun’s heat and transfer it to the fluid circulating inside. Water is stored in an insulated tank for future use. Every Solahart system also includes an electric booster to ensure you have hot water even on cold and cloudy days.
Roof-Mounted Thermosiphon System
The Solahart range of thermosiphon systems features roof-mounted solar collectors closely coupled to a storage tank. As the fluid is heated by the sun, it rises
to the top of the collector and into the tank or heat exchanger, displacing cooler fluid. This system is reliable and low maintenance, as it does not require a pump to circulate fluid around the system.
